Pastoral Care Training
We would encourage anyone in our church who has a heart for caring for others in this space to come along and be more effectively equipped.
Monday's 18th & 25th November 7 pm
This course was designed by hospital chaplains, who daily work in the space of “grief catching, meaning making and hope finding”
The course explores a person-centered approach and offers the opportunity to learn and practice micro skills needed to journey with others.
The course is trauma informed and you will learn the following skills:
*empathetic presence
*active listening
*power of silence
*grounding and de-escalation
*supporting in exceptional circumstances
